HARGROVES CYCLE COMPETITION – THE BROOKS
In order to gain followers on Twitter and promote all the retailers at The Brooks we created a competition to give away a Specialized Hardrock 650B Mountain bike by asking people to follow the centre’s twitter and retweet the post.
We used Facebook advertising and targeted ads at bike enthusiasts and sports men and women in the Winchester area as well as those who frequently entered competitions. We also utilised hashtags popular across Twitter such as #fridayfeeling #winitwednesday to gain more post impressions and a wider reach.
THE RESULTS OF OUR SOCIAL MEDIA COMPETITION
Social media competitions are a great way to generate likes, shares and followers on social media. When they are run in collaboration with a retailer or shopping centre, they help to drive shoppers to that retailer boosting footfall and sales.
