INCREASE DATABASE NUMBERS

The Wheatsheaf Centre, Rochdale, asked our digital team to help them increase database numbers and members. They partnered up with the events team and came up with an ‘Eat and Greet’ event to allow children to have a fairy tale experience with their favourite Frozen characters Anna and Elsa.

DETAILS OF THE SHOPPING CENTRE EVENT

Over the course of 3 weekends, the shopping centre welcomed a different character. Meanwhile, the digital team ran a campaign on Facebook and Twitter to give away a VIP meal. To enter shoppers were asked to fill in a simple entry form asking for their contact information.

RESULTS OF THE SHOPPING CENTRE EVENT

Shopping centre events are a great way to boost centre footfall and shopper dwell time. Meanwhile, social media competitions are ideal for boosting social media engagement and also encouraging users to visit the centre in person.

Following the combined shopping centre event and social media campaign, the Wheatsheaf’s online database grew by 33%. This was in addition to a boost in footfall noted by the centre.
