Team Shopp are taking part in the Manchester 10k and Half Marathon on the 28th May 2017.

This year we are raising funds for The Christie Charity. The charity raises money for a range of projects and initiatives for those dealing with cancer, focusing on 4 main areas, research, care and treatment, education and extra patient services.
To show your support, please donate directly on our fundraising page here or TEXT SHPP85 and the amount (£1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10) to 70070.

You can watch the teams progress on our social media pages and we thank you in advance for your support!

Every year the team at Shopp HQ like to raise money for causes close to our hearts, whether this is through the annual Manchester 10k or a simple bake off. However this year we decided we needed to really push ourselves so 10 members of the team alongside a few of our clients donned water proofs and woolly hats to climb Snowdon on Wednesday 28th September 2016.

On what was probably the wettest day any of the team had seen in a while, we set off along the Pyg track and after rock climbing through pools and dealing with water damaged phones and sandwiches, we finally made it to the summit.

This time we decided to fundraise for the Alzheimer’s Society and Ty Gobaith (Hope House) Children’s Charity. The money we have raised will go towards research for Alzheimer’s and Dementia and to help the people suffering and their families. Ty Gobaith (Hope House) is a children’s hospice that provides care and support to life limited children and young people and the money we have raised will help this charity to help the children, young people and their families.

We have already raised a total of £3800 which Shoppertainment will match and the donations are still coming in. We would like take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support and generous donations that really will make a difference. We will keep you updated with the final sum.

We’re now thinking of what we can do next year…suggestions (and volunteers) welcome!

Father Christmas and his Shoppertainment Elves visited the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, handing out presents to children and entertaining them with a Christmas Craft workshop.
We enjoyed the visit and were made very welcome by all the staff and patients there. We can’t wait to visit again!
During the summer our team organised a charity dinner in North Wales, starring Laura White. A great and late night was had by all!
Our team attended the annual Mirror Ball at Manchester’s Lowry Hotel. The ball celebrated 25 years of the Forever Manchester charity, supporting the community.
Over £40,000 was raised on the night. Entertainment included performances by Catherine Tyldesley, Rowetta, Peter Hook, Kavanagh and hosts Rob Ellis and Wingman from the Capital FM Breakfast Show.
11 of the Shoppertainment team took part in the Great Manchester Run on Sunday 18th May 2014 to raise money for Cancer Research UK. £2,000 has been raised so far for such a great cause!
